Synopsis
In the street of Paris, behind the curtains of a cinéma, two souls meet with a common interest : their love for the movies. Cléo and Léo decide to get to know each others through films. Dressing up and acting like the main characters of the movie they're seeing.
After a while, infatuated with love, Léo ask her to stop playing. Taking away the movies, the magic of the game and just being themselves. Making them realize they're complete strangers.
About the project
"Cleo and Leo" is a story crafted in 2022, right after the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when movie theaters experienced a downturn as people shifted to streaming platforms.
The story, starring Kevin Dias and Anaëlle Duguet, is an ode to the art of cinema, with each shot and scene drawing inspiration from various movies, inviting the audience, cinephiles to engage with the film. It pays homage to the French New Wave and Italian and American classics.
